...then we took Berlin

It was one of the hottest days of the year in Berlin with temperatures close to 30 degrees celsius, when N24 hosted the Mosart Summit 2010 succeeding last year's summit in Copenhagen

More than 40 participants went to Berlin on Friday June 11th, some of them were Mosart users, some of them wanted to know more about it.

Roland Kindermann, the Mosart super user from N24, was the man behind the arrangement. After last year's first summit in Copenhagen, he wanted to show all the Mosart users how N24 is using the features of the Mosart automation system.

N24 is the German news channel of the ProSiebenSat.1 group which is one of the largest media companies in Europe with radio and tv stations in 14 countries across the continent. The news channel is also responsible for the news on the other German tv stations in the group, ProSieben, Sat.1 and Kabel Eins.

All the news casts are controlled by Mosart, which is connected to the video switcher, audio mixer, video servers, the Mosart Soundplayer, remote camera control, router, Viz graphics and a GPI box.

The summit took place at The Grand Hyatt hotel in Berlin just across the street from N24.

The inventor of Mosart, Mads Grønbæk, told about the past, present and future of the Mosart automation. One of the most visible changes is a redesign of the Mosart GUI, which is due to be launched before christmas. The new version will be more colorful and navigation will be improved. Furthermore, there will be more possibilities to customize the appearance.

Pictures from the summit are available here and here. Please leave a comment and a link, if you have further pictures (this feature is only available, if you're logged in).

You can also take a look at Roland Kindermann's Power Point presentation from the summit here.
